St. Xavier's School Suri was established in the year 2008 in a 4.54 acres green hub of land at Duttapukur, Suri, District: Birbhum. It was formed by BIRBHUM AREA DEVELOPMENT TRUST , a trust established by a group of professional technocrats and academicians of Kolkata formed for the primary purpose of all round development of the District of Birbhum and specially for the economically challenged children. The school already has 12 economically challanged children, who are being entirely taken care of by the trust.
We have Mr. Barry O' Brien as the Chief Academic Advisor and Mrs. June M Pinto, assisting him in our academics. The headmaster of the school is Mr. James Ringrow, who has sixteen years of teaching experience in one of Kolkata's leading schools.
Students from Lower Nursery to Class VII is presently being educated in our school. We follow CBSE Curriculum and study in a co-educational environment.

Birbhum is the northernmost District of the Burdwan Division. It lies between 23° 32' 30" and 24° 35' 0" north latitude and 88° 1' 40" and 87° 5' 25" east longitude. In shape it looks like an isosceles triangles. The apex is situated at the northern extremity not far south of point where the Ganges and the hills of the Santhal Paraganas begin to diverge while the river Ajay forms the base of this triangle. Birbhum is bounded on the north and west by Santhal Paraganas, on the east by the districts of Murshidabad and Burdwan and on the south by Burdwan, from which it is separated by the Ajay river. The district extends over an area of 4545 Sq. Kms.
